choice for workloads that need to be highly available and accessible to users
around the globe.
Zonal availability zones: These zones are located within a

High-availability zones: These zones are designed for

also a number of specialized VAC types, such as:

frequently as workloads in regional or zonal availability zones. Nearline zones

Coldline zones: These zones are designed for workloads that
need to be stored for long periods of time, but that do not need to be accessed
as frequently as workloads in nearline zones. Coldline zones are a good choice
for workloads such as data archiving and long-term backup.
Preemptible zones: These zones are designed for workloads
that can be interrupted without impacting business operations. Preemptible
zones offer significant cost savings, but they are not a good choice for
workloads that require high availability.
